Why Pakistan

Why Italy brands manufacture with Eco Vira

Eco Vira runs pattern making, fabric sourcing, cutting, printing, embroidery, sewing, inspection and packing under one roof in Lahore. One supplier stays accountable for the whole chain, so the garment that ships is the garment that was approved.

  • Pakistan is a major global producer of knitwear and cotton garments โ€” key categories for Italian fashion.
  • Cost advantages versus Italian or Eastern European manufacturing.
  • Skilled workforce with expertise in quality garment construction.
  • English-speaking merchandising teams for clear communication.

MOQ

Minimum order quantity

30 pieces per style per colour. Italian brands using this route are usually validating a specific idea or supplying a capsule rather than replacing an established supplier. Payment is a deposit against the bulk run, balance against shipping documents.

Payment

How payment works

Orders run on a deposit against the bulk run, with the balance settled against original shipping documents. We will not change bank details by email alone โ€” any change is confirmed by phone before you act on it, because that is the standard invoice-fraud pattern and a two-minute check prevents it.

Sampling

How sampling runs before you commit

  1. 01Tech pack or reference garment to begin.
  2. 02Pre-production sample produced in your fabric.
  3. 03Fit and Italian-language labelling approved before cutting.
  4. 04Sample retained as your reference for repeat runs.

Quality control

How quality is checked

  • In-line inspection at cutting, sewing and finishing.
  • An AQL sampling check before packing.
  • Measurement check against the approved sample and size set.
  • Final inspection on packed units with photo record.
  • Fabric testing where your specification requires it.

Inspection points, AQL levels and what we document are agreed in your order rather than assumed. See our quality process.

Production process

From approved sample to carton

The same sequence on every order. What changes is the specification, and the timeline is quoted per style.

  1. 01Tech pack and fabric direction received; feasibility and costing reviewed.
  2. 02Pattern graded to your Italian/EU size set; pre-production sample made.
  3. 03Sample approved; fit and trims locked.
  4. 04Fabric sourced, or supplied cloth verified against the approved swatch.
  5. 05Cutting, sewing, decoration and in-line inspection.
  6. 06Final inspection, folding and packing to Italian labelling requirements.
  7. 07Documentation issued for EU entry; goods dispatched.

Questions Italy buyers ask us most

Answered directly. Where the answer is that something sits with you rather than with us, we say so.

Who handles the EU Responsible Person appointment?

Italy is an EU member state, so the General Product Safety Regulation applies in full and an EU-established economic operator is required. That is the importerโ€™s appointment. We supply the technical file โ€” composition, test reports, manufacturing identity โ€” the responsible person lodges.

Is Italian-language labelling required?

Yes, for the Italian market. Fibre content and care instructions go in Italian. We apply your supplied wording exactly.

Is a Pakistani supplier a realistic fit for an Italian brand?

The question is usually landed cost against MOQ flexibility rather than quality. Domestic Italian production carries minimums and costs that suit established volume; our route suits smaller runs and brands that are not yet at that scale. We quote your actual spec so you compare real numbers.

How are shipments handled into Italy?

Sea freight through the main Italian container ports is the standard economic route; air and courier suit smaller volumes. Your forwarder clears the entry and we supply the commercial invoice, packing list and transport documents.
