Why Pakistan

Why United Kingdom brands manufacture with Eco Vira

Eco Vira runs pattern making, fabric sourcing, cutting, printing, embroidery, sewing, inspection and packing under one roof in Lahore. One supplier stays accountable for the whole chain, so the garment that ships is the garment that was approved.

  • Pakistan offers significant cost advantages versus UK or European manufacturing, improving margins for UK brands.
  • Strong historical trade relationship between Pakistan and the UK with established logistics routes.
  • English as the business language eliminates communication barriers.
  • Vertified compliance with UK market expectations for social responsibility.

MOQ

Minimum order quantity

30 pieces per style per colour, which suits UK brands running a focused first range. UK buyers often start with one hero style rather than a broad collection — that keeps each colourway inside the minimum and contains the risk. Payment is a deposit against the bulk run, balance against shipping documents.

Payment

How payment works

Orders run on a deposit against the bulk run, with the balance settled against original shipping documents. We will not change bank details by email alone — any change is confirmed by phone before you act on it, because that is the standard invoice-fraud pattern and a two-minute check prevents it.

Sampling

How sampling runs before you commit

  1. 01Tech pack or reference garment to start; a tech pack with measurements is enough.
  2. 02Pre-production sample made in your fabric so you approve the real garment.
  3. 03Fit, labelling and trim placement signed off before cutting.
  4. 04Sample held as your reference so corrections carry to the next run.

Quality control

How quality is checked

  • In-line inspection during cutting, sewing and finishing.
  • An AQL check before packing, to the level agreed in your order.
  • Size-set measurement check against the approved sample.
  • Final inspection on packed units with a photo record.
  • Shrinkage testing where fabric risk warrants it.

Inspection points, AQL levels and what we document are agreed in your order rather than assumed. See our quality process.

Production process

From approved sample to carton

The same sequence on every order. What changes is the specification, and the timeline is quoted per style.

  1. 01Tech pack received, feasibility and costing reviewed.
  2. 02Pattern graded across your UK size set; pre-production sample made.
  3. 03Sample approved and fit locked.
  4. 04Fabric sourced, or your cloth received and checked against the approved swatch.
  5. 05Cutting, sewing, decoration and in-line inspection.
  6. 06Final inspection, folding and carton packing to your labelling instruction.
  7. 07Documents issued and goods dispatched on the agreed incoterm.

Questions United Kingdom buyers ask us most

Answered directly. Where the answer is that something sits with you rather than with us, we say so.

Post-Brexit, does importing from Pakistan complicate UK clearance?

Pakistan has a preferential trade arrangement with the UK, so eligible textiles can enter at a reduced tariff. The rate depends on origin criteria your goods must meet — we supply the supporting documentation your broker needs and do not claim eligibility where the criteria are not satisfied.

Does my product need UKCA marking?

UKCA replaced CE marking for goods covered by UK regulations, including certain PPE and safety-related textiles. Most ordinary apparel is not in that category. Where a style is affected we build to the UK requirement and supply the declaration.

Will I pay duty and import VAT on delivery?

It depends on the incoterm. Under EXW or FOB you handle clearance, duty and import VAT. Under DDP we deliver duty-paid and the landed cost is one figure. Tell us which you need and we quote accordingly.

How long is production and transit to the UK?

Production is quoted per style. Sea freight to the UK is the cost-efficient route for volume; air freight and express courier trade cost for speed.
